A bomb was detonated against an armored IDF patrol along the northern border with Lebanon in the Har Dov area, on Friday night 12 Adar II. One of the armored jeeps was damaged and a number of soldiers were transported to Ziff Hospital in Tzfas to monitor them for possible internal injuries from the powerful blast. The IDF believes the blast was set by Hizbullah gunmen.
IDF tanks in Metula responded by striking a Hizbullah lookout post while artillery fire in the area of the attack fired over the border to distance any terrorists operating in that area.
The attack was the second bomb detonated against IDF patrols in the past two weeks. The first bomb was along the border with Syria.
