A vehicle driven by an Arab crashed into a border police post in Gush Etzion on motzei Shabbos, near Beit Omer. Four border policemen were manning the post at the time of the incident, which authorities feel may have been an intentional terror attack. Two of the policemen were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem with light injuries.

The driver is a 33-year-old male from Beit Omer. He was taken in for questioning. The driver told authorities that he hit the gas instead of the brake and that the incident was an honest accident, not terror.

A preliminary inspection of the vehicle revealed it is stolen. Police are holding the driver in custody on suspicion of perpetrating the attack intentionally.
