How Israeli Police Arrest a Chareidi Male – See the Video

misht[VIDEO IN EXTENDED ARTICLE]

This avreich was returning from a Bnei Brak shopping center with his five children in his vehicle. He was arrested in front of them and his wife. No description of the police violence used against this unarmed man is required for the video speaks for itself.

This occurred on Tuesday afternoon 9 Adar II near the Mor Institute in Bnei Brak. The man was instructed to pull over to receive a traffic summons. A conversation resulted and for reasons that are not known to this reporter, police decided to place him under arrest. Before he knew what was taking place he found himself on the ground and one can view the video for the details of the police brutality.

The wife and their children, the oldest being six, looked on in horror. Many of the witnesses question why police are not held accountable, asking if the media would ignore this if it occurred to a secular man in Tel Aviv, or an unarmed Arab man anywhere in Israel. The secular media does not report the incident.

  1. Don’t resist and no force will be needed. He is CLEARLY resisting being handcuffed. You can see that he is trying to not let them cuff him. You can’t resist being handcuffed. If you want to legally resist – go limp. If you are going to be handcuffed, you will be. They’re not going to give up and say “it’s not worth it”. If your arrest is for an unlawful reason, you’ll have out sort it out later. I don’t understand what the point of this story is….

  2. I don’t know the background to this, but in the video, he is resisting arrest. They are trying to cuff his hands behind his back and he is preventing them from doing so. In the end they give up and cuff them in front. Look at the first few seconds how the policeman is pulling with all his force to get his hand behind his back and he cant! He’s a tough guy!

There are sadly many documented instances showing police brutality, hitting people violently etc etc. In my opinion, this is not one of them. Calling it that is an injustice to those who HAVE suffered at the hands of police brutality.

  3. All I can see from this video is a man resisting arrest, and a group of officers struggling to detain him. Whoever posted this clearly has an agenda to portray police as intolerant aggressors. Any honest person would simply ask what the rest of the story is. It is beyond stupidity that the writer of the article clearly even states that he does not know the circumstances. As an aside, why does the “chareidi” public not join the police force?

  4. He was resisting arrest. The struggle would not have happened if the detainee would have remained calm. No story here.

  5. What this video clip looks like to me is….
a man, albeit Charedi, who is resisting police attempts to calm him. Likely he has some underlying psychological issue which is causing his irrational behavior; i.e. one man trying to overcome ploice officers.
It is a good thing the lay press didn’t pick up this non-story. It doesn’t show us in a good light.

  6. This is not the first video I’ve been seeing lately specifically of this behavior. But what does anyone expect? when such hatred is being spewed against chareidim all the time? can anyone tell me why these 2 rabbanim were indicted for incitement? There is no incitement against any chareidim? including governemnt officials?

  7. Please note that i am not commenting on the fact of the arrest. There may very well have been a good reason for the man to be arrested.
However the way in which he was arrested is a disgrace. If this had happened anywhere in the world people would be screaming about anti-sematisim.
    WELCOME TO ISRAEL
THE HOME OF THE NEW ANTI-SEMATISIM
Chareidim have become the poster child for the problems that exist in Israeli society. Labeled, abused, beaten, deprived of basic needs, the preverbal scape goat.
Anyone else see the growing similarities between Nazi Germany of pre WW2 and the state of Israel.

  8. to me this looks very obvious that was what they call resisting arrest.hes lucky in america i have seen people get hurt much more by the cops for resisting arrest.it looks like the cops there take it pretty easy.the second somone resist arrest their asking for problems!!he could have easily give the officers his hands and there would have been no problem..but people love preying on these stories when in reality they had every right to do what they did

  9. I’m not taking sides, but I don’t see ANY brutality in this video. I just see cops holding a guy on the ground who is resisting arrest. Nothing out of the ordinary regarding police procedure. When I read the attached article first I was expecting to be nauseated by the punching, kicking, and beating of the man. There was none of that. He doesn’t even look like he was hit before the video was taken. I don’t see a single scratch.

  10. it is obvious that he is resisting arrest. the police are acting with restraint. The people are telling the police that “he will give you” what ever I don’t know.

Rule one: in civilized countries, you act respectful towards the police and show them what they ask for. This fellow has some problem.

even though most seculars do not like the charadim and most charadim do not like seculars, still this fellow seems obstinate and got what he deserves. behave with dignity and the police will act with dignity.

  11. Reply to #1 – Well Said!! And btw here in New York is also if you resist arrest the Police will do anything and everything including Brutality. Just search for Videos online and you’ll find a few that accord just recently by the NYPD on Orthodox Jews 2 in Crown Heights and one in KJ ny.

  12. the israel polices are animals to anybody Charedi. Egged had such a bad reputation with the Charedi they went and hired Charedi drivers in order no to loose the franchises.
But nobody over sees the miserable israeli arrogant police. I have been in various countries but Israel’s police top as arrogrant

  13. The lady in the video is nuts. Why is she endangering her baby by coming so close to the action? One swing back of the officers elbow, could smash the baby’s mouth or head! In one instance you see the baby’s small hand actually touching the officers neck!

  14. The head should have been how Police show restrain in arresting a man who was resisting. How can anyone see anything differently. In most countries including the US the man would be beaten to a pulp.

  15. Sorry but whoever posted this title/story/video is GUILTY of incitement. I don’t see ANY brutality or anti anything here.

We don’t know the story that led up to this, but whatever it was, even if you’re 100% right, NEVER resist arrest, you can always sort things out in court.

  16. I am taking suggestions for a better news site than ywn. The ridiculous bias is getting out of hand and its time to find a news site that reports the news instead of incites.
