Israel Police Spokesman: Bring Cameras to the Voting Station!

droidIsrael Police spokesman for chareidi affairs Shabtai Gerverchik told Kol Chai Radio a short time ago that voters experiencing difficulty at polling stations in chareidi areas are urged to bring cameras and videos with them.

Gerverchik told Kol Chai Radio that today many people have cameras and videos in their phone and he is urging any and all voters to photograph goings on outside polling stations, adding “outside is a public place and one has the right to take photographs and it is important to document any such activities”.

He is speaking about mounting reports of police harassment in different forms allegedly intended to make voting increasingly difficult for chareidi voters. Gerverchik explains that it is essential to document any illegal and inappropriate actions by police involving today’s election in the city, explaining that with evidence in hand authorities will be able to take the appropriate action.

  1. But these are areas in which the majority of people davka have “Kosher phone” which DON’T have a camera/video component! Everyone knows that the national political machinery in this country will make sure that Abutbol does not win, whatever it takes. The politically pressured court ruling demanding this re-vote to begin with was just the tip of the iceberg. . .
