IBA Employees Literally Daven for the Jobs

ibaThe Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) is facing closure. Communications Minister Gilad Erdan last week announced he intends to accept the Landvis Committee recommendations to dismantle the current IBA and build a new entity.

The future for many IBA employees looks bleak. While everyone that is dismissed will receive a commensurate payout package, many fear finding themselves without employment.

Some of the employees are truly concerned for their future, and they have taken to tefilla in the hope of saving their jobs. There is even talk of visiting Kivrei Tzaddikim.

  1. They should pray that they get new jobs. The Broadcasting Authority has taken advantage of the Israeli public for too long. I hope every worker there gets new jobs somewhere else, but I’m glad they are closing the IBA. This was long overdue.
