Yesh Atid leader Finance Minister Yair Lapid on Monday morning 8 Adar II related to a letter from high-schoolers calling for disobedience, refusal IDF induction. Lapid said “we must call a spade a spade. This is not disobedience but [draft] dodging.”
“These young people may not wear a shtreimal but they too are chareidi extremists. They are secular Neturei Karta who think that if they believe in something then it is okay to send others to bear the burden and endanger their lives in their place. They are not hiding in the tent of Torah but the tent of hypocrisy.”
“Secular evasion [of military service] is not ideology. This indulgence of 70 young people who think everything is coming to them while the others, your children and mine – those who must serve in their place. I am ashamed” Lapid concluded.

No, it’s resistance. A “dodger” comes up with a reason that if real would exempt him from service (I’m busy studying, I have a family to support, I’m disabled, etc.). A resistor says that I am perfectly able to be a soldier, I refuse to do so because I don’t approve of your policies.
A pro-zionist yeshiva student who favors war with the Arabs as a way of keeping the Arabs subjugated, but doesn’t want to serve is a “dodger.”
Someone who opposes the state, is a resistor. In most countries resistors are considered traitors. There is a saying that “one says that ‘treason never prospers’ for if it prospers, none will dare call it treason.”
and what will be the consequences?
Who cares what this fool has to say
So now the Chareidi is used as an example of a criminal, as if he’s the prime example of a dodger-criminal…
Such propaganda.
#1: Ahem.
To quote the great Inigo Montoya: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
A resistor is that component of an electrical circuit which impedes the flow of current.
A resister is someone who systematically obstructs some action that others want to take.
You you would think this guy put he’s life in danger when he served in the army. Do you know what this guy did in the army? I will tell you he was writing in the army newsletter he real put he’s life in danger
I guess lapid can speak about ahypocrisy cuz he’s quite familiar with it. He is a low life who does not want to be told how to live life. But wants to tell other people how to live
When draft is compulsory, citizens either comply or suffer consequences..
