Rabbi Dovid Zikerman of the Bnei Torah party feels that an apology is in order to dati leumi posek HaRav Chaim Druckman Shlita for having addressed him disrespectfully in Yated Neeman. “It is a major mistake” Rabbi Zikerman reports.
Rav Zikerman refers to the references made to Rabbi Druckman in the paper deleting his title “rabbi”, which led to many dati leumi rabbonim canceling their participating in the Million Man Atzeres. Rabbi Zikerman explained that Yated Neeman has led to unwanted machlokes; pointing out the dati leumi community is so angry that a protest is planned outside the newspaper’s Bnei Brak office.
Speaking to the dati leumi BaSheva newspaper, Rav Zikerman explains the rabbonim should have risen above the insults and participated in the atzeres, explaining from his perspective this is compared to a situation that for as long as a father is alive the children may bicker but when he lies in an intensive care unit, all differences must be put aside and they must all come together, to call a ceasefire.”

no apology necessary/ just an excuse not to attend and their loss.
Why no apology necessary?
You can’t mevaze a Talmid Chocham even if you don’t go with his shittos.
must we apologize to stav for deleting his title that some1 gave him that is botul mevutal once he permitted going to movies. a doctor is a doctor even if he commits murder but a rabbi is not a rabbi if his psak is keneged every major poseik that has ever lived. if you permit mixed swimming you are still a rabbi? if you are mezaneh with an eishes ish you are no longer a rabbi. if it is laughable some of their psokim
lbj,
acheir (elisha ben avuya) is still given the title rav in pirkei avos and he was whatever you can say about anybody
The comments here show the problematic attitude: If you don’t like the way someone paskens you declare them not to be a rabbi so you can ignore them.
Coffee: although, to play devil’s advocate, that was before he changed.
rebbeyid,
but they didnt take it out, his torah is still matzel him
When I went to Yad Veshem I noticed (according to my memory) the only Rav that has any true recognition for activism during the Holocaust was Rav Weissmandl. The English caption under his picture said “Mr. Weismandel”! Refusing to recognize someone’s earned title discredits the credentials and the titles of those very people who refuse to recognize others. It advertises unnecessary arrogance and a lack of civility. The BeSh’T would say, “kol haNegayim adam ro’eh, chutz mnigay atzmo – a kohain could pasken on anyone’s negah except his own…but the remes is, kol haNegayim adam ro’eh chutz, mnigay atzmo – all the external problems and ill habits of others, which you notice…Those very bad middos etc are part of your character as well!… very deep!
