Elected Officials To Host Press Conference Regarding A New Bill To Announce Expedited Missing Persons’ Identification Act

starkRabbi David Niederman, Executive Director of The United Jewish Organizations of Williamsburg and North Brooklyn (UJO), together with Jewish community leaders will host a press conference tomorrow with elected officials to discuss The Expedited Missing Persons’ Identification Act.

Assemblyman Joseph R. Lentol (D-North Brooklyn) will be joined by the bill’s Senate sponsor, Senator Daniel Squadron, and fellow elected officials.

The Expedited Missing Persons’ Identification Act will require the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services to promptly make available the personal descriptions and other identifying data of unidentified deceased persons who are found, to all law enforcement agencies in the state, and upon request, to agencies outside of the state.

The legislation comes in light of the recent case of Menachem Stark, who was abducted from his Brooklyn office and later found murdered in Long Island. The body was initially unidentified by law enforcement in Long Island and it took many hours to match his identity to the missing person in Brooklyn.

  1. Maybe someone can ask those Askanim, with all of the evidence that the investigators have, how come there has not been even one arrest in the Stark case? Who are they covering up for and why? If it was takeh an inside job, why is waiting till after Pesach to make the arrest going to help?

  2. DEAR MR. NEEDERMAN AND RABBI SQUADRON,

HISTORY HAS SHOWN US THAT THE POLITICKING BUMBLE BRAINS WHO DRAG THEIR FEET BECAUSE “IT HAS TO GO THROUGH THE “RIGHT” CHANELS FIRST”, OFTEN DELAY THE TRANSMITTING OF A SILVER ALERT.

HOW ABOUT LEGISLATION THAT WOULD REQUIRE A SILVER ALERT TO BE TRANSMITTED FASTER THAN 10 (OR SOMETIMES MORE) HOURS.

PERHAPS, LOST/MISSING ALZHEIMER’S PATIENTS WOULD BE LOCATED A LITTLE SOONER WHEN THEY WANDER OFF…
