A large number of Israel Police forces are securing the streets of Jerusalem and other cities on Monday as widescale protests take place against the advancement of the government’s judicial reform laws.
On Monday evening, a suspect who participated in the protests was detained for questioning, after hundreds of pyrotechnic devices – torches – were seized in his vehicle and according to police, “could endanger the safety of the participants and disturb public order.”
The fireworks were confiscated and according to a police statement, hundreds of police officers continue to operate in the area to maintain security and order.
