As the Paley family sits shiva for hakedoshim Asher Menachem, h’yd and Yaakov, hy’d, the condition of the father of the family, Avraham Noach, remains serious.

Reb Paley was transferred this week to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital, where he is hospitalized in the ICU, sedated and ventilated. As of Thursday, there hasn’t been any noticeable improvement in his condition.

Since the attack occurred, tefillos have been held at a number of places, including the Kosel, at the kevarim of the Chazon Ish and HaRav Shach in Bnei Brak, as well as the kever of the family’s illustrious grandfather, Av Beis Din HaGaon HaRav Yechiel Wilinsky, z’tl.

HaGaon HaRav Noach Paley, the Mashgiach of Yeshivas Torah B’Tifarta and a relative of the family, led the tefillah at the kever of the Chazon Ish.

HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Paley, Avraham Noach’s father and one of the Roshei Yeshivos of Beis Shamaya, recites Tehillim at all the tefillos at the shiva. Family members have asked all the chashuve Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivos who came to be menachem avel for brachos for Avraham Noach. Additionally, dozens of students from all parts of Israel, including those who are not yet frum, have taken on various kabbalos in the zechus of Avraham Noach.

The public is asked to continue davening for a refuah sheleimah for Avraham Noach ben Yehudis b’toch sha’ar cholei Yisrael.
