PM’s Office and Jerusalem Municipality Unite to Increase Security for Residents

The bus stop where the Ramot terror attack occurred being replaced.

Today, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Office (PMO) and the Jerusalem Municipality announced an agreement on a plan to increase the sense of security for residents of the city in response to the recent terrorist attacks.

The plan includes a substantial reinforcement of security and police units, as well as improving civilian protection at bus stops in the city.

The plan is to immediately begin the reinforcement of 300 bus stops that are deemed high-priority and which are currently unprotected.

The PMO (Prime Minister’s Office) has allocated a designated budget to the Jerusalem Municipality, which will be used to begin this process.

The remaining 700 bus stops in the city will then be reinforced in the next stage, and the PMO will allocate a designated budget to the Jerusalem Municipality for this purpose as well.

The plan also includes a concentration of intelligence and operational efforts to identify potential threats and prevent future attacks. In addition, the PMO and the Jerusalem Municipality are working together to ensure that the security reinforcement efforts are effective and efficient.
