DOWN THE DRAIN: Trump Paid Researchers $600,000+ to Investigate Election Claims. They Found NOTHING.

Donald Trump reportedly shelled out hundreds of thousands of dollars to a research team to investigate his claims that the 2020 presidential election was rife with fraud, but they found nothing.

According to reporter Josh Dawsey, Trump paid Berkeley Research Group through a subsidiary called East Bay Dispute and Advisory more than $600,000 in the final weeks of his presidency to corroborate his election claims.

According to the report, around a dozen researchers and “econonmetricians” used statistics to model and predict outcomes, and dug into “at least a dozen hypotheses.” Their work included probes into possible election machine malfunctions, evidence of dead people voting, and other facets of Trump’s claims.

A source told the Washington Post: “They looked at everything: change of addresses, illegal immigrants, ballot harvesting, people voting twice, machines being tampered with, ballots that were sent to vacant addresses that were returned and voted,” said a person familiar with the work who, like others, spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe private research and meetings. “Literally anything you could think of. Voter turnout anomalies, date of birth anomalies, whether dead people voted. If there was anything under the sun that could be thought of, they looked at it.”

None of the researcher’s findings were presented by Trump in court. You know why? Because they didn’t find anything “significant enough to make a difference in who won the election.” The research also outright debunked several Trump claims, including rigged voting machines and massive numbers of votes cast in the names of dead people.

Great job, Donald. Real winner.

  1. Sorry,
I don’t believe Deadbeat Donny paid $600,000 for this research. The bill may have been that amount, but if it got paid Donny didn’t pay it.
Donny has been collecting millions in donations to his assorted campaign entities and they would have received the bills and or paid it,
He pays for almost nothing from personal funds

  2. It definitely proves he was acting in good faith. The Democrats are claiming that Trump knew he lost the election and was trying to steal it from Biden (which would be election fraud, a crime). Especially since his tax records show his businesses have been especially profitable as of late, that he invested much money looking for evidence suggests he genuinely believe there was such evidence. Being wrong on a factual matter establishes a lack of “mean rea”. The undermines the Democratic arguments that he engaged in impeachable and/or criminal misconduct.

  3. When will the media realize that his entire half-hearted “2024 campaign” announcement and pitiful efforts to appear engaged is another effort to restrict prosecutors from pursuing an indictment or make it appear as another “political witchhunt”. Even many of his former MAGA chavrusah are trying to keep their distance from what they consider an nauseating slab of rotting political fleish.

  4. According to reporter Josh Dawsey? WHO? A Jewish site? Kosher witnesses? HAPPY PURIM!
WE WILL SEE IN 2024 WHEN TRUMP WINS HOW MUCH WILL BE SPENT TO DISPROVE IT. HOW MUCH WAS SPENT BY THE DEMS THE LAST FEW YEARS TO GET TRUMP NOT TO RUN?

  5. Why do you keep on shechting the living Avodah Zorah of so many frum people? Can’t you let them dream on that Trump the Tzaddik won & that the election was stolen? If no evidense was found, it’s because the Democrats did such a good job hiding it. That’s how an educated frum hocker would explain it. Trump invites a pair of antisemites? He must have had no idea since he LOVES Jews.

  6. For perspective. The federal government spent over TWO MILLION dollars trying to find Russian collusion and Trump election fraud in the 2020 elections. They also found nothing.

  7. akuperma: wrong!! It could also show that he didn’t have any reason to believe fraud (other than narcissists can never lose) but that he was willing to pay $600K to find a plausible argument. And with a plausible argument would give him more credibility and maybe even lead to his proof. Or if this fails, he’ll at least have guys like you willing to believe this shows he didn’t have the mens rea.

  8. This article is phony. It reportedly came from “a source” that told the Washington Post dot dot dot. It’s a fact – most people no longer trust these news outlets such as Washington Post. The Berkeley Research Group is based next door to San Francisco, California – not exactly a hotbed of Trump support. Also, how much research does $600 K get you ? It doesn’t pass the smell test.

  9. Those who hold there was fraud are not basing it on Trumps info. They are basing it on what they hold is common sense. video’s, testimony of workers, etc. The sudden huge rise overnight in votes for biden after counting was officially stopped which I saw with my own eyes. All that made many of us doubt the true outcome. Matter of opinion (or hate).

  10. I hope the researchers were paid before they made the study. Otherwise, with the way Trump stiffs people he contracts with, they’ll never see it.

  11. This so-called report is ridiculous. First of all, it relies on an “anonymous source”; we should all understand by now that the vast majority of “anonymous sources” don’t exist. The reporters make them up.

In this case we don’t know how much Trump really spent, but we know that research was done and the researchers found many serious anomalies. To conclude, from the fact that they were not presented in court, that there was nothing there shows that the writer has no clue what he’s talking about.

As this “anonymous source” says, they were performing high-level statistical analysis. How many voters changed addresses with the post office, and what percentage of them are likely to have actually moved and thus were ineligible to vote. That kind of things. And they found persuasive evidence of significant anomalies.

But NONE OF THESE ARE ADMISSIBLE IN COURT, because in court you can’t present statistics, you have to present actual cases, and prove in each individual case that the vote was invalid. And in the few weeks available, that kind of research, on that many cases, is simply impossible. You can know, for instance, with a probability of > 99%, that of these 20,000 votes at least 8,000 were invalid, but the court will say “Which ones? Mr A Smith; was his vote invalid? Prove it. Mrs J. Brown, was her vote invalid? Prove it.” And it will demand that you do that for thousands of individuals, or the election result will not be thrown out. It’s an impossible task, no matter how much fraud there was.

  12. That being said, what about the false claims and failed impeachment attempts of the Democratic party which cost the taxpayer many millions to find this out and yet, left a big stain on Trump? And the possible Clinton-funded anti-Trump efforts? Also, what about the suppression of Hunter Biden’s business dealings and investigation into his father’s involvement? and what about that skewed press and social media, not allowing Trump to have a voice? I believe that he would have won the last election had it not been for these things. The US should have a lot more than two major political parties!

  13. Let’s get something straight to YWN people, whenever you see a byline coming from the Washington compost, it’s simply not reliable .

You’re going to tell me that an anonymous source told someone at the Washington Compost something and therefore you’re going to believe it? You have to be insane!

I don’t think President Trump really is concerned about what anyone thinks about his spending. This is typical liberal hypocrisy, where the left pretends to be concerned about somebody else’s money. If the left was very concerned about somebody else’s money they would stop taxing us to death!
