A 7-year-old boy from Ashdod is admitted to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot where he is in very serious condition in an intensive care unit R”L. The boy is diagnosed with influenza B and doctors have placed him into a medically induced coma and on a respirator.
YWN-ISRAEL reported that a child was niftar earlier in the week from the flu and a talmid yeshiva, 15, a member of the Seret-Vishnitz community, is fighting for his life in Sheba Medical Center.
Dr. Eli Shapiro told Walla News the child’s condition deteriorated sharply shortly after his arrival and as of Thursday afternoon he was stable, and appears to be out of life-threatening danger. Dr. Shapiro added his condition is being monitored very carefully.
