In an effort to boost his election campaign, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday, 26 Adar I met with Beit Shemesh mayoral candidate Eli Cohen.

Cohen, a former senior official in the Jewish Agency for Israel, is the candidate of the dati leumi community as well as the Likud/Beitenu party. Cohen is working to unseat the incumbent; Shas affiliated Mayor Rabbi Moshe Abutbul in the court-ordered reelection.
