Rebbetzin Shulamis Ezrachi a”h, the wife of Harav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi shlit”a, was niftar at Haddasah Ein Kerem hospital in Yerushalayim on Monday, zos chanukah. She was 91.

The Rebbetzin battled deteriorating health in recent months, and was hospitalized and placed on a ventilator in Hadassah’s intensive care unit before being nifteres surrounded by her esteemed husband and family.

Rebbetzin Ezrachi was born in Yerushalayim in 1931 to her father, the famed Chevron mashgiach Rav Meir Chodosh zt”l and her mother Tzivia Leah a”h. She traveled as a child with her mother and brother, the future Rav Aharon Chodosh zt”l, to Lithuania to receive a bracha from the Chofetz Chaim.

She was raised in the atmosphere of the Chevron Yeshiva in Geula, gaining a deep appreciation of limud hatorah and those who dwell in the koslei bais medrash from her parents, whose entire lives revolved around the yeshiva.

Though best known for supporting her husband, Rebbetzin Shulamis was herself a great mechaneches to whom thousands came to for advice and hadracha over the years.

The levaya will take place Tuesday morning at the family home in Bayit Vegan.
