New York City alternate-side parking rules are back in effect for the first time in weeks.

The city had suspended the rules for much of February because of snowstorms. They went back into effect on Monday.

According to CBS New York, the Department of Transportation says restoring the rules will make it easier to clear away any remaining snow.
