During the forshpil for his son, the Dushinsky Rebbe Shlita announced that he will be remaining in the Eida Chareidis. He then danced with askan Rav Avrohom Slonim to give him a chizuk.

One of the first items on the agenda of the Satmar Rebbe Shlita, who is visiting Eretz Yisrael, was to speak with the Eida Chareidis Ravaad HaGaon HaRav Moshe Sternbuch Shlita. The rebbe succeeded in persuading the ravaad to agree to retract his announced resignation as the Eida is plagued by machlokes.

However there is still machlokes as the Asra Kadisha faction remains aligned with Eida Chareidis Gavaad HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss Shlita while the ravaad, the Dushinsky Rebbe and the Toldos Aaron Rebbe Shlita are on the other side of the machlokes, which is the result of the different piskei halacha surrounding the Golovnititz construction project in Beit Shemesh. The sikrikim are behind Asra Kadisha and zealots in that group have crossed red lines on numerous occasions in their behavior, actions and pashkavilim against the ravaad and the Dushinsky Rebbe.

One of the personalities involved in the machlokes is Rav Avrohom Slonim, who is backed by the Dushinsky and Rachmastrivka Rebbes. He is hounded by sikrikim because of his involvement in the controversial Beit Shemesh project.

The Dushinsky Rebbe has spoken out against the sikrikim and has paid a price, for he too was a target of their unacceptable actions as was the ravaad.

This is why the rebbe danced with R’ Slonim, to give him a chizuk. Kikar Shabbos quotes the Dushinsky Rebbe stating “We will remain in the Eida until Moshiach arrives”.

The gavaad has recently come out strongly [again] to followers, telling them that ignoring their responsibility regarding kovod for talmidei chachamim is far worse than compromising any ancient kevarim.
