Justices of Israel’s Supreme Court are opposed to a bill seeking to air court sessions live on national television. Court President Justice Asher Grunis is convened with his colleagues on Sunday, 23 Adar I to discuss the bill. While he and his colleagues are opposed, they may drop their opposition due to Justice Minister Tzipi Livni coming out strongly in favor of the bill which is authored by MKs Yariv Levine (Likud) and Zahava Gal-On (Meretz).
The bill refers to airing those cases which are of a public nature, not all cases brought before the court. Supporters of the bill feel this is an appropriate measure towards meeting the state’s responsibility towards the right of citizens to remain informed.
The court remains opposed, explaining the presence of cameras and the awareness that a proceeding is being aired live will negatively impact the hearings.
Livni has met with Grunis in recent days to discuss the bill, which she backs strongly.

Translation – We’ll feel much less comfortable raping this country of it’s religious and national rights and consistently siding with Arabs and anti-Semitic NGO’s in an utter mockery of justice if we know it will be broadcasted on live TV! Cut us a break here guys – it’s already hard enough trying to destroy this country from the inside out!
1- Is SCOTUS also antisemitic?
