Pothole problems have not yet eased up in Brooklyn this winter.
A number of local roads are in bad shape, giving drivers major headaches. Many complain that Hamilton Avenue, under the Gowanus Expressway, is among one of the most riddled roadways.
Potholes are caused when melted ice and snow fills cracks in the street, and then refreezes, causing those cracks to expand.
The Department of Transportation says its crews are out in full force citywide trying to repair as many potholes as possible daily.
