As Israel Police investigators move ahead with the probe into the fatal explosion in an Akko building on Tuesday, 17 Adar I 5774, a bomb has been ruled out. Police are addressing rumors of a dispute between neighbors regarding cellular telephone antennas on the building roof and the possibility that the blast was the result of a bomb. Officials on Tuesday afternoon confirmed there was no bomb, adding the damage was caused by a gas explosion.
Investigators believe it will take a number of days until they will know with certainty what caused the blast.
The funerals for the five victims began at 18:00 in Akko.
