In an effort to combat rock-throwing and firebomb attack, or more accurately towards apprehending the terrorists responsible, the IDF has equipped some residents of Yehuda and Shomron with dashboard cameras, primarily in use on roads where there is a little or no IDF presence and areas in which attacks are frequent.

One example is the road near Azzoun in Shomron, where rock and firebomb attacks against Jewish motorists have become too commonplace. The cameras have led to arrests and convictions and authorities report the number of attacks has dropped considerably as a result. Officials report the dashboard cams caught the terrorists in the act, simplifying the conviction process.
