About a week after Finance Minister Yair Lapid ordered freezing February funding for yeshivos in line with a Supreme Court ruling, Education Minister Rabbi Shai Piron on Tuesday, 11 Adar I 5774 released funding for Zionist yeshivos, yeshivos gedolos and hesder yeshivot and the latter have been working tirelessly to have the money released.

The Zionist yeshivos explain that they were caught in the net as their funding never should have been held up since not only do their talmidim serve in the IDF, they encourage service for they view it both an honor and responsibility.
