Feiglin: Eichler Has Given More to the State than Lapid

Eichler“The share the burden law is nonsense for MK Rabbi Yisrael Eichler has given more to the state than Yair Lapid” writes MK Moshe Feiglin.

He continues, “While I like Yair Lapid very much, a most sympathetic individual, but tell me please, who gave more to the defense of Israel, Yair Lapid or Yisrael Eichler. I am not going to address the importance of limud Torah – which I personally believe in, but let’s say that Eichler spent all his years studying Chinese, who contributed more to the nation’s security, he or Lapid?”

“The response is unquestionably Eichler. Why? Because when Eichler was 18 he did not bother a soul and we did not have to take care of him for three years and receive nothing in return regarding security. Eichler did not steal resources at the expense of security. Therefore, he contributed more.”

“Most soldiers today are Yair Lapid. The entire nonsense of sharing the burden is tantamount to hidden increased unemployment in the IDF which will expand the debt and compromise security… We need a volunteer professional army and not a political populist”.

  1. His point is that most army personnel are worthless drones, costing Israel but not contributing. Its true, unfortunately.
Surprised he had the guts to say it!
