In what is an embarrassment to the prosecution, the Beersheva District Court on Sunday, 9 Adar I 5774 rejected an appeal from the prosecution challenging the release of chareidi detainees arrested last week during anti-draft protests around the country. The detainees were arrested on Thursday, 6 Adar I and remanded, compelled to spend Shabbos in prison. The Beersheva Magistrate Court however ordered their release, prompting the prosecution to challenge the decision in the district court. The court upheld the lower court’s ruling to release them.

Ummh? Maybe not everyone in Israelis a lemming wannabee?
Have the charges been dropped, or will they still have to go to trial?
Would someone please write a news article that Comment No. 1 would be responsive to. Then the YWN editors could move the comment to that article.
