After five days imprisonment, the talmid yeshiva arrested last week for failing to report for IDF service was released from Prison 6 on Sunday morning 9 Adar I 5774. While askanim intervened on his behalf, it was too late for a military court already sentenced him to jail.

His arrest sparked protests by thousands of chareidim around the country. 13 chareidim arrested at a stormy Ashdod protest remain in jail as police filed serious multi-count indictments against them to set an example, to send a clear message to the chareidi tzibur.

A number of Toldos Aaron Chassidim decided to spend Shabbos in a community near the military prison to enable them to protest his incarceration on Shabbos.
