Snow should begin to taper off during the “rush” hour tonight. An additional 1 to 2 inch(es) of snow is possible with the current system. A total snow accumulation of 4 to 8inches is forecast. Temperatures in the lower 20’s tonight will bring the threat of black ice to the area. A second storm system will move into the area tomorrow (Tuesday) during the overnight. This system will start with a quick burst of snow bringing two to five inches before a mix of snow/sleet and freezing rain persists through the day on Wednesday and should end during the evening rush hour Wednesday night.

Tuesday should be quiet before a burst of snow begins to fall around midnight on Tuesday. After a period of snow (two to five inches) during the early hours of Wednesday, a mix of sleet/freezing rain will persist throughout Wednesday. Total ice accretion of 0.25 inch(es) is possible. Temperatures will be between 33 – 36 degrees.
