A 38-year-old woman from Haifa remains in critical condition in Rambam Medical Center diagnosed with swine flu. It is the first documented case in Israel this year.

The woman arrived on motzei Shabbos the eve of 2 Adar I 5774 presenting with signs and symptoms of a severe case of the flu. She was admitted to a respiratory intensive care unit and later diagnosed with swine flu.

The last reported case in Israel led to the death of a three-year-old boy last year.
