President Barack Obama and former President Bill Clinton will speak to Senate Democrats at their annual issues conference.
The session is next Wednesday at the indoor section of the Washington Nationals’ stadium.
Clinton was widely praised at the Democratic National convention in 2012 for his sharp, concise explanation of Obama’s policies.
The inclusion of the two comes as Senate Democrats face a tough election year, defending more seats than Republicans and facing the real possibility that they could lose the majority in November. They currently have a 55-45 advantage.
The president’s party typically loses seats in the midterm election.
