HaGaon HaRav Aaron Yehuda Leib Shteinman Shlita was transported to the hospital at about 5:30am this morning, Thursday, 22 Shevat 5774. He was not feeling well during the past days due to a cold, complaining of weakness. He passed out this morning.
After R’ Shteinman collapsed an ambulance was summoned to transport the gadol yisrael to a hospital. The rav is now undergoing diagnostic testing.
The tzibur is urged to be mispallel for רב אהרן יהדה לייב בן גיטל פייגה לרפואה שלמה

The gadol hador is reported conscious and alert, undergoing testing in the hospital.

The rav is in the emergency room where doctors are conducting tests. It is stressed that he is conscious and alert and his condition is stable.
10:00 IL:
Maran Shlita has been discharged from Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital after doctors checked him thoroughly. The rosh yeshiva has been instructed to remain home and rest.

I know I’m being nitpicky here, but I don’t like the expression “complaining of weakness” about a gadol b’torah, does anyone know how destitute he is and how much he is likely “sovel” pain/weakness in general? if the gadol hador was saying he was weak he must have been REALLY weak, we’re talking about people who push themselves almost beyond human capability to learn on almost no sleep!
