The Jerusalem District Court on Tuesday 20 Shevat 5774 accepted an appeal from attorney Yehuda Shoshan, representing the Supergas technician arrested following the fatal gas explosion in the Gilo neighborhood of the capital.
The technician was remanded on Monday, ordered held over until Wednesday. The higher court threw out that decision and ordered the defendant released to house arrest as police continue with the investigation.
Upon his release the technician said “My conscience is clear. I did exactly what I was supposed to do”.
Killed in the blast were Avraham Tufan, his wife Galit and their son Yosef Chaim z”l.
