The Chetzi Chinam supermarket chain is boycotting Tnuva dairy products, the result of a business dispute. The supermarket’s management has given the order to remove many Tnuva dairy products and some other Tnuva products from the shelves, including companies owned by Tnuva, such as Sunfrost Frost and Tirat Tzvi.
The supermarket is limiting shelving space allocated to Tnuva, while giving a larger share to Tara, a major dairy competitor.
It appears that after the government decided to control prices of a number of dairy items the nation’s largest dairy decided to cut discounts, seeking to pass the loss in profits to the stores. Chetzi Chinam says it is unwilling to accept Tnuva’s new terms and has decided to take the step to show Tnuva it means business.
