A talmid yeshiva was targeted in an anti-Semitic attack in Kiev on Friday night Parshas Yisro 5774. He was stabbed in a leg and listed in serious condition when he arrived in a local hospital, where he was taken for emergency surgery.
The chareidi talmid yeshiva was walking from shul to his home after seudas Shabbos when he was attacked by youths who beat him and then stabbed him. The attackers fled after the victim began screaming. He managed to get back to the shul, where he collapsed. A shul watchman summoned an ambulance. The victim was in surgery for 90 minutes. He lost a lot of blood as it appears the knife struck the femoral artery.
