Approximately 42,500 Kenmore oscillating fan heaters are being recalled because they pose a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall Wednesday morning for the fans which were sold in Sears and Kmart stores across the country.
So far, there have been seven reports of the fan heaters smoking or catching on fire. Two people have also suffered injuries.
The recall only affects Kenmore oscillating fan heaters with the model number 127.90914310. You can find the model number and Kenmore printed on a silver sticker on the bottom of the unit.
The affected products were sold nationwide from September through November 2013.
Consumers with a recalled fan heater should immediately unplug it and return it to any Sears or Kmart store for a full refund.
