A 4.4-magnitude earthquake has rattled the Los Angeles area.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake struck 3 miles north of Fontana at 1:35 a.m. Wednesday. That’s about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
The Fontana Police Department and San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department both say there are no reports of damage or injuries.
Most residents posting to the USGS community Internet intensity map reported the quake felt light to weak. Some residents of Fontana and San Bernardino reported the shaking as moderate.

This is like saying it’s drizzling in NYC.
Yeshiva World & other East Coast (New York) based web sites have little or no knowledge of what goes on outside of their 4 frozen amos. This 4.4 earthquake took place in Fontana, CA which is in San Bernardino County.
It’s like a thunderstorm took place in Cedarhurst but was reported as the Lakewood area.
Los Angeles County is a huge place, nearly 4900 square miles vs. 305 square miles which is the size of New York city.
An earthquake that was not felt in Los Angeles is reported but the fact that its 80 dry degrees today or that the weather is beautiful all year round isn’t reported.
I guess New Yorkers are afraid to let the oilom know how nice it is in Los Angeles because everyone would move there.
