In his capacity as head of Rabbanei Tzohar, Rabbi David Stav will head a special Tu B’Shevat tisch along with MK (Yesh Atid) Dr. Ruth Calderon. The event is approved by Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
MKs and ministers alike have signaled they planned to participate and MKs Hilik Bar, Eitan Cabel, Shimon Solomon, Omar Bar-Lev, Merav Michaeli, and Zevulun Kalfa have agreed to be a part of event, which includes reading scripts and participating in the singing.
The tisch will include fine fruits and wine from Eretz Yisrael and explanations of the significance of the day from Rabbi Stav and MK Calderon.
The tisch event will be opened by the speaker, who will make a bracha on wine from Eretz Yisrael and then Calderon will read the first Mishnah in Meseches Rosh Hashanah.
