Who Funds the Asylum-Seekers in Israel?

sudanese refugees.jpgOne cannot help wondering who stands behind this week’s impressively organized protest attended by tens of thousands of asylum-seekers in Israel, illegals from Eritrea and Sudan who have decided they want to make Israel their home. This pertains to tens of thousands of illegals.

According to a Yisrael Hayom report, funds are being provided by European Union organizations with an agenda, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and a local organization calling itself the Refugee Assistance Fund, a group backed by Israel’s left-wing.

They have done an impressive job, apparently backed by serious money for they sponsored four consecutive days of protests to bring the cause of the illegals to the headline news. They transported tens of thousands of people to Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and orchestrated large protest marches.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has stated the protests will not have an impact as he remains firm in his decision to deport them.

Thousands of asylum-seekers convened in Tel Aviv’s Levinsky Park on Thursday morning to plan their future strategy in their battle for legal status in Israel.

Commenting on the asylum-seekers in his weekly newsletter, MK Moshe Feiglin states “Thousands of illegal migrants demonstrated today in front of the Knesset, demanding refugee status. But when a ‘refugee’ crosses the border of a country that is not threatening him (Egypt, in this case) he is no longer a refugee: he is an immigrant. When he attempts to cross into Israel from an area that he knows is dangerous (Sinai) he proves that he is not motivated by the fear of danger, but rather, by hope to live in a developed country.”

  1. The money backing the demonstrations in Israel would do more good if it were spent to enable the asylum-seekers to emigrate to the US. I recommend Borough Park, Flatbush and Midwood.
