Following the arrest of two Arabs in the October 2013 stabbing attack in Yishuv Psagot, there seems to be a difference of opinion regarding the motive of that attack.
The ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) and Israel Police have announced that the suspects wanted to steal guns from homes and therefore, the attack was a criminal act and not an act of terrorism.
The IDF however is calling it a terrorist attack. Binyamin Region Commander Colonel Yossi Pinto explains that even if there was a “criminal element to the attack” it was nothing less than a terror attack. He insists the suspects arrived in Psagot for one reason only, to carry out an act of terrorism.
Nine-year-old Noam Glick was injured in her neck in the attack. B’chasdei Hashem she was treated quickly on the scene and made a total recovery at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
