The FDNY was battling a working fire in Midwood, Brooklyn, Tuesday morning. The fire was on the 4th floor of 1171 Ocean Parkway, near Avenue K. Smoke and flames were seen billowing out of the windows, and the high winds seemed to be fueling the blaze. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported, and the fire was brought under control.
Earlier Tuesday morning, the FDNY sent out a press release asking people to be aware that cold temperatures increases fire risks. The release had a list of safety tips to help prevent fires.
