The New York Post headline Sunday following the gruesome murder of Menachem Stark, “Who didn’t want him dead?” is a violation of every rule of taste, decency and respect that even newspapers that depend on coverage that shocks and titillates must observe. Regarding respect, even if they had none for the victim, certainly they should have demonstrated some feeling for the deceased’s widow and seven children, who are now mourning his loss.
We do not accuse the Post of anti-Semitism. Its strong support of Israel over the years has been most welcome, when publications of a more genteel character have criticized the Jewish state on a regular basis. But the fact that the photo and headline will surely encourage others to be anti-Semitic, or to fuel their already existing anti-Semitism, makes it clear that the headline should simply have read, “Cops Investigate Brutal Murder of Father of Seven.”

the real issue is not the post the real issue is the lack of jewish leadership and the condoning of bad behavior as long as money continues to flow to the yeshivas and mosdos. Not one jewish leader whatever that means has gotten up and said we need to reevaluate our priorities. we need to take every child in every cheder and explain to them that with bad actions come bad consequences , that you can not deal unethically and immorally with people such a statement of course would be counter to the philosophy of those institutions because it goes against what they beleive which is as long as the money is coming in nothing else matters, so instead if dealing with the real issue lets go after the post, pathetic
He should have had a pistol to protect himself . Because he lived in NYC he couldn’t have one. Every other state in the US he could have one. NYC does not abide by the second amendment ‘ the right bear arms ‘ otherwise he would have been able to defend himself!
“…He was a great man to the community…”
We must start teaching our children to be sincerely nice to All Communities, to every Human Being.
Please show me just one other news article that was a similarly ugly personal attack on a recently, very viciously killed individual, detailing everything bad they could find on him, that had the same or even similar strength of passionate anger, hatred, and mockery, aside from when Osama Bin Laden, and other world famous terrorists expired!
I wonder if the Post would be negative to that degree, if the same had happened to a person of another religion/race with the identical or worse reputation! The negativity here was unique even for the New York Post!
Over the years, there have been many criminals with horrendous records of crimes against humanity and none got the treatment that Stark did. I challenge you to find one!
Despicable Editors!
And Arib, my friend, all groups have issues large and small, including your group, whichever that may be. Why connect that to the demonizing of one, just murdered, individual?
How come everyone is lashing out about the disgusting NY Post front page except for our newly elected mayor?
