Banana Crops in Israel were Damaged in the Blizzard

bananas.jpgFarmers report the blizzard and unseasonably cold weather that hit Israel two weeks ago has resulted in bananas developing black spots, which has resulted in a sharp drop in consumer demand for they appear overripe.

The experts explain the actual banana was not damaged but the appearance has left most consumers with a bad vibe, opting to buy different fruits. As a result, bananas are indeed becoming overripe as shoppers are uninterested based on their unsightly appearance.

  1. Bananas are not native to Israel.

None of the native Peiros of Eretz Yisrael were damaged by the Gishmei and Shalgei Bracha that HKBH – hearing our prayers – bestowed upon us in this blessed sixth year of VTzivissi es Birchossi.

There will be BEzras Hashem a bumper crop this spring and summer as more Yidden will keep Shmittas Karka next year than at any time since the Bais haMikdoshh.

We thank the Ribono Shel Olam for his kind blessings and beseech him for more.

We are fortunate to live in such a momentous era. Our forefathers sadly weren’t zocheh.

So please don’t complain about discolored bananas in Israel.
