Since the fatal sniper fire attack along the Gaza border earlier in the week the IDF has been taking measures to prepare for another round of warfare with the Hamas terror regime.

The Iron Dome rocket intercept system has been placed in Sderot, Ashkelon and Beersheva and the intelligence community feels the resumption of rocket attacks into southern Israel is likely.

This was the case close to 12:40 AM Thursday morning, 23 Teves as a least one rocket fired from Gaza landed in the area of the Ashkelon Regional Council. B’chasdei Hashem, there were no fatalities, injuries or property damage.
