Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will attend the 2014 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting which is due to be held in Davos, Switzerland from 22-25 January.
Prime Minister Netanyahu acceded to the request of the Annual Meeting co-chairs and will address a special plenary meeting devoted to the Israeli economy. He will present the Israeli cyber industry, which is among the world’s leaders, and will also hold a series of working meetings with heads of state and corporate leaders in order to encourage investment in Israeli high-tech and other sectors of the Israeli economy.
In the invitation sent to the prime minister, it was noted that Israel is a key to positive developments in the regional and global economies and that the forum will be a significant opportunity to present the government’s economic policy after one year in office.
Mr. Netanyahu said, “The Israeli economy has been successful in the face of the global economic crisis and is continuing to show high growth and low unemployment. Participation in the World Economic Forum will allow us to showcase the achievements of the Israeli economy to the entire world. I believe that the attention which the Israeli cyber and high-tech industries will receive at the Forum will assist in strengthening their status as global leaders.”
