The Knesset has approved electing a female to serve on the vaad that appoints the nation’s dayanim. The new regulation will compel electing a minimum of one woman to serve on that committee.
The bill passed by a vote of 14 in favor and no objections.

So? A government dayan is a political patronage position, and everyone relates to that fact.. Regardless of gender, what matters is the haskafa of who is doing the appointing and the hashkafa of the dayan. Lapid’s friends appointing a “Reform” dayan will destroy the frum community’s regard for state Beitei Din, even if they are all male.
