It is now being officially announced the Gerrer Rebbe Shlita has decided to delay the delegation of Agudas Yisrael admorim heading to the United States until after the holiday season in that country.
The announcement was released on Monday afternoon 20 Teves 5774 following earlier notices that the main event including the Admorim in NYC was set for this coming Sunday, 26 Teves.
MK Yaakov Litzman and a gabbai of the Belzer Rebbe Shlita met with the Gerre Rebbe earlier today to discuss the timing of the trip, leading to the decision to postpone it. Of course the leaders of Agudas Yisrael in the United States were involved in the decision to delay the delegation, which hopes to apply pressure on the Government of Israel to back down from the planned draft of bnei yeshivos into the IDF.
At present in appears that in addition to the members of the Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael, a number of other admorim will be taking part. Ladaat reports this will include the Rachmastrivka Rebbe, Karliner Rebbe, Chernobyler Rebbe, Amshinover Rebbe and possibly the Dushinsky Rebbe who is in the USA.
There is no confirmation if Satmar will attend or not.

Someone obviously read in YWN, where someone pointed out that the western world is on vacation for the next two weeks.
In the meantime while the admorim are in the U.S., their talmidim and chassidim should get together in Europe and in Israel with a million-men protest or in different cities with several thousand-men protest so that the Israeli government will get it from all angles.
The week of Dec 22-Jan 3 is Kodesh Kedoshim for the non-Jewish world in celebration of their holidays.
America is our HOST COUNTRY and we are a minority & strangers in this land. Our behaviors should reflect this truth.
the western world dont care about you or israel one bit, go to the army like in any other country and serve like that will be a kiddush hasham not roam the streets i hope you get it right
419elm (4) History records that in places where Jewish leaders (religious and even non-religious) showed respect for Torah scholars, in those places non-Jews respected the Jews. This is very visible in our days where the non-Jewish civilized world show unusual disrespect and hatred towards Israel by boycotting Israel and Israeli academic institutions, etc.
Why is it so hard to understand why Chareidim may not go to the army and the chillul Hashem they would cause if they go? Admorim are of a different opinion than you. Rather stay Jewish roaming the street than go to the army coming out like a sheikatz in order to make money.
Chareidim doing something positive to safeguard Judaism is not a chillul Hashem at all but a kiddush Hashem. For all those who claim otherwise, why don’t we hear from you about the chillul Hashem secular Jews are doing with their draft compulsion in order to secularize religious Jews. Don’t they have more than enough shekatzim with the Yaldei Teheran and the other innocent Sephardim whom they forcefully secularized? Enough is enough. We, Chareidim do not have to go like sheep to the slaughter…
@5 Arye, scource?

History shows when ANTI-ISRAEL & ANTI-JEWISH rhetoric & hatred is displayed publicly and globally especially one Jew to another,,,,Jews are not tolerated wherever they live. Shechita problems in Europe, Core curriculum for Belgium schools, knock out games in Bklyn and Crown Heights, SWASTIKA on schools, etc. etc.
the main event including the Admorim in NYC was set for this coming Sunday, 26 Teves. They should instead rebook their flight to touch down @Frankfurt Airport on that day, and then spend that nite & all of the next day at the Kever of RSRH on his 125th Yohrzeit on Teves 27th beseeching haShem’s mercy to have Israeli Bochurim be able to emulate RSRH’s “Austritt”, and thereafter continue on another flight to NYC.
