Chareidim attending an event to pay tribute to chareidi civil service volunteers jeered, booed and shouted as Bayit Yehudi Minister of National Service Uri Orbach tried to address the event. They sang “עוצו עצה ותופר” as Orbach tried to greet the event and send his congratulatory message.

In a Facebook page that followed the unpleasant event, Orbach wrote “This is a democratic country and it is difficult to compel people to be polite, but nevertheless I promise to be respectful and fair regarding the chareidi volunteers.

“With Hashem’s assistance I will assist anyone serving society and anyone that requires assistance. This is far more important that salutes speeches and protests”.
