As YWN reported last week, there was large burglary at Camp Oorah. Thankfully, the NY State Police in Cobleskill have arrested three subjects for burglary which occurred at Camp Oorah located in the Town of Jefferson, Schoharie County.
The multi-county investigation lasted one week and involved State Police personnel from SP Stamford, SP Liberty and SP Cobleskill.
On December 3, 2013 Jose Lopez-Hernandez, 43, or Liberty, NY, Alexander Barragan-Pineda, 21, Parksville, NY and Matthew Huebsch, 20, of Liberty, NY illegally entered the resort property and stole property consisting of several flat screen televisions, Wii gaming consoles, Playstation gaming Consoles and ATV’s (four wheelers).
Much of the reported stolen property has been recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
The three subjects were arraigned and remanded to Schoharie County Jail on $15,000 cash and $30,000 bond. They are scheduled to reappear in the Town of Jefferson Court on December 16, 2013.
The camp thanked Rabbi Joel Gold, who is the Oorah Camp liaison to law enforcement, as well as all the members of law enforcement, who worked so hard to ensure that the perpetrators would be apprehended.
