Baruch Hashem the rain is falling and as such, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel instructs the tzibur to stop reciting עננו in Shmona Esrei but suggests replacing it with a tefilla to thank HKBH for the rainfall.

coincidence that it only started raining after bnei chutz la’aretz said v’sein tal u’matar (i know theres no such thing as coincidences btw)
This seems very appropriate and news-worthy. In the last few years, I have often been disappointed as what appeared to me to be a lack of feelings of gratitude. Specifically, there have been hard times for Israel as a country when bombings and other atrocities were occurring regularly. Many of added tehillim and other tefillose to HKB”H about the situation. But even as these events have largely subsided, many minyanim still continue to say the same tefillose. It’s as if HKB”H is saying, you asked me to rachamim, and I have stopped these events, but you are still davening as if nothing has changed. Of course we should give hallel and hoda’ah for what Hashem has done for us. Here too it is wonderful to see an awareness that our tefillose mean something and that when things are good we should recognize how Hashem has changed things from when rain refused to fall. I really like this, even if this paragraph isn’t somewhat incoherent.
