While the prosecution was seeking jail time, the Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday, 8 Teves 5774 ruled otherwise. Justice Amnon Cohen did not accept the prosecutor’s request, citing the so-called Meah Shearim Mom who admitted to abusing her kids back in 2010 has violated the terms of her plea bargain. The prosecution felt this is sufficient to have her jailed. Justice Cohen views the situation in a different light and rejected the request.
However the court has placed her on probation for failing to comply with the terms of her release and plea bargain agreement.
The story began amid accusations the mother disconnected her child from intravenous therapy while admitted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. The hospital told authorities that video footage captured the mom’s actions while the Eida Chareidi stood firmly behind the mom, who is a member of a meyuchas family in the Eida community. This led to violence and a boycott of Hadassah by the Eida tzibur.

The so-called Meah Shearim Mom never admitted abusing her children. The accusations against her began after she informed the doctor that she wants to switch hospitals once she realized they are using her child for experimental purposes as Hadassah hospital is well known for. That’s when they came up with some kind of mentality disorder in the mother.
Exactly because of the video footage that the Eida Chareidi stood firmly behind the mom. Firstly, because the Eida received the video more than a week after they requested it. Secondly, the images on the video were clearly manipulated and photoshopped using her face.
