Brooklyn BP-Elect Eric Adams On Recent Knockout Attacks: Terror Is Terror

eric adams“Terror is terror,” incoming Brooklyn Borough President-Elect, Eric Adams, said of the recent hike in hate crimes in Jewish neighborhoods, especially the recent reports of ‘Knockout’ attacks in Brooklyn. “There’s not difference if you fly in a plane into a building or if you are striking someone because they are walking down the street,” he said during an appearance on ‘Community matters’ Saturday night radio program

“Knockout is not a game. It’s an assault. It’s terrorizing people, and we got to put it to a halt,” Mr. Adams stated.

He also touched on the psychological effect it has had on people in the Jewish community, who now claim they feel threatened to walk alone on the street in fear of falling victim to such a kind of assault.

“Sometimes we don’t realize the psychological and terror damage there’s done whenever there’s a particular crime that takes place and impacts any group,” Mr. Adams said. “You don’t have to be the direct victim of interaction with a criminal for it to have an impact. And that’s why it is important that we mobilize all of our forces to send a strong message that assaulting or terrorizing people  is unacceptable in our city.”

In a recent press conference in Crown Heights, BP-elect Adams urged local authorities to put an end to these attacks by imposing stiff penalties to those involved in the attacks. “This dangerous, despicable ‘game’ represents the worst kind of sick violence–and the perpetrators must be dealt with swiftly and harshly,” Mr. Adams said. “Needless violence can never be tolerated; and violence in the name of hate and entertainment are the worst crimes that can be committed against citizens and society.”

  1. Were sadly back to dinkins times. Naive people dream the whole day. This phenomenon is ongoing and you never hear of any arrests. Someone in this govt should be held accountable. Its either incapable or unwilling to take this crime head on. Eric, jacob, david or whatever your name or position is. From the mayor, prosecutor, to the journalist who just dampen the flames by reporting rubbish statements is just not crossing the end line for us.

Stupid statement I’m referring to “sometimes we don’t realise the psychological effect…..” they’re ready to kill us and you’re downgrading its severity? They aren’t “thugs” eric, they’re murderers and terrorists and should be branded none the less as well as prosecuted as such. Please jacob and eric I don’t know who is trying to help who between the 2 of you, but your statements and reporting are sic.

  2. It seems pretty obvious that this “game” is organized. Its purpose is to instill fear in the jewish community. But at the same time making it seem as though its not specificly jews who are being targeted rather any weak people are the ta.

    The game is a cover.

It is also an innocent way to motivate the youth. The “innocent kids who are just having fun. Boys will be boys. They need to have an outlet. Not everyone is an athlete.”
It is a group who is paying leaders in the community of to get the ball rolling & maintain its momentum.
Most likely its the Muslim Brotherhood which has been in an incubator in the US for over 65 years
Waiting till the time is ripe for such activities.

    some group

  3. Its nice to see that there is someone who is aiming properly to nip it in the bud.
I suspect there are or will be those coming out against it but ofcourse only with hollow words while in truth they are probably those leaders in their community who are covertly actually part of the motavating side either for pay or just the hate of jews
    or both.

  4. After reading YWN for some time, it pleases me to see that Mr. Kornbluh is actually capable of writing a piece without being provocative, misleading, or just editorializing. Well done!
