Good news for residents of Bayit Vegan as Councilman Shlomo Rosenstein, who is in charge of chareidi transportation in Jerusalem City Hall announced the number 16 bus will continue running despite earlier reports to the contrary. Rosenstein also announced the current number 39 bus’ route will remain unchanged and continue providing service from the central bus station to Geula.

Changes are planned for a number of bus lines in the city, including the 39 and the elimination of the number 16. The new line would be extremely problematic for Bayit Vegan residents by only providing connectivity to Givat Shaul.
